SB 236 (BR 2049) - J. Westwood
AN ACT relating to education advisory groups.
Amend KRS 157.137 to change the membership of the Kentucky Early Childhood Advisory Council by replacing the representative of the Interagency Task Force on Family Resource and Youth Services Centers with a representative of Family Resource Centers or Youth Services Centers; amend KRS 158.794 to change the membership of the Early Reading Incentive Grant Steering Committee by replacing the representative of the Advisory Council for Adult Education and Literacy with the commissioner of the Department for Adult Education and Literacy or the commissioner's designee; amend KRS 167.037 to increase the number of members of the Kentucky School for the Deaf Advisory Board from 7 to 9, to add the Kentucky Association of School Administrators to the organizations submitting nominations for board membership, to require 2 members of the board to be school district representatives, and to require that a majority of the board's membership be persons who are deaf or hard of hearing.

SCA (1, E. Scorsone) - Include a representative of the Department for Community Based Services and a superintendent on the Kentucky Early Childhood Advisory Council; remove the representative of the Department for Social Services and the Department for Social Insurance.
