AN ACT relating to persons under the age of eighteen (18).
Amend KRS 186.570, relating to denial or suspension of a driver's license, to deny or suspend the driver's license of a person under the age of eighteen convicted of unlawfully trying to purchase tobacco; require the court proceedings to occur in juvenile session of District Court; require the record of a license denial or suspension to be expunged on the person's eighteenth birthday; create a new section of KRS Chapter 610, relating to procedural matters under the Unified Juvenile Code, to require the court to forward the order of conviction of a person under the age of 18 for attempting to purchase tobacco to the Transportation Cabinet; provide the clerk of the court to make the record of the case available for inspection by either the person convicted who is seeking a hearing on the license denial or suspension, or by the Transportation Cabinet.
