AN ACT relating to architecture.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 323 to require an owner who constructs a new building or adds an addition to an existing building to obtain the services of a licensed architect or a licensed professional engineer; define terms; amend KRS 323.010 to change board's name from the State Board of Examiners and Registration of Architects in Kentucky to the Kentucky Board of Architects; amend KRS 323.050 to replace language requiring that the examination be given annually with language requiring that the examination be held on a regular basis in accordance with board procedures and the contract between the board and the testing agent; amend KRS 323.090 to require that six months elapse between the time an applicant takes an examination and retakes a section he failed; amend KRS 323.210 to permit the board to administer oaths, receive evidence. interview persons, issue subpoenas, and require the production of books, papers, documents, or other evidence; amend KRS 323.250 to allow the board to also enjoin unlicensed persons who represent themselves to be architects.
