AN ACT relating to state government.
Create new sections of KRS Chapter 154 to establish the Red Fox Tri-County Cooperative Corporation, consisting of Knott, Letcher, and Perry Counties, as an independent, de jure municipal corporation and political subdivision of the Commonwealth that shall be a public body corporate and politic; direct the corporation to develop, operate, and manage the Red Fox Golf Course and Tourism Project funded by 1998 Ky. Acts Chapter 615; attach the corporation to the Finance and Administration Cabinet for administrative purposes; create a board of directors consisting of seven voting members (three representatives of the three county governments, three representatives from the three counties, and the secretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet) and three ex officio nonvoting members (the secretary of the Tourism Development Cabinet, the secretary of the Cabinet for Economic Development, and the Commissioner of the Department for Local Government; establish terms and causes for removal; establish duties and authorities of the board; permit creation of an executive committee; permit the board to employ an executive director; direct employees of the corporation to be considered state employees for the purpose of participating in the Kentucky Employees Retirement System; establish the powers and duties of the corporation; specify the uses for all revenues and contributions; direct the Auditor of Public Accounts to conduct an annual audit of all funds of the corporation and its affiliated entities and report to the Governor and the Legislative Research Commission; confirm Executive Order 98-1025 as amended by Executive Order 98-1143.
SB 34 - AMENDMENTS
HFA (1, H. Collins) - Retain original; amend KRS 12.210 to delete requirement that the Governor consult the Attorney General before approving the employment of an attorney; amend KRS 12.213 to delete requirement that the Governor obtain the advice of the Attorney General on a regulation for the defense of employees or former employees of the Commonwealth.
HFA (2/Title, H. Collins) - Change the title to "AN ACT relating to state government."
