SB 36 (BR 1091) - D. Adams
AN ACT relating to theft by deception.
Amend KRS 514.040 to require the payment of a merchant's reasonable bad check handling fee in the process of making good on a dishonored check.
SB 36 - AMENDMENTS
SFA (1, D. Adams) - Amend to limit amount of merchant's bad check fee and to increase county attorney's fee.
SFA (2, D. Adams) - Amend to refer to a "posted" fee and to increase county attorney fee to twenty five dollars.
HCA (1, G. Lindsay) - Provide for a $25 limit on the merchant's bad check handling fee.
HFA (1, C. Belcher) - Add bad check fees charged by the holder's bank to the list of items that must be paid to make good on a bad check.
HFA (2, C. Belcher) - Restore county attorney's fee for bad checks to $10.
