SB 46 (BR 1106) - E. Scorsone
AN ACT relating to school-based decision making councils.
Amend KRS 160.345 to permit a substitute teacher employed by a school district or relative of a substitute teacher employed by a school district to serve as a parent representative on a school-based decision making council, except in the school where he or she serves; make technical changes.
SB 46 - AMENDMENTS
SCS - Retain original provisions; allow bus drivers to serve as members on school councils even if they have a relative employed in the central office.
SCA (1, E. Scorsone) - Allow bus drivers to serve as members on school councils even if they have a relative employed in the central office.
HFA (1, S. Johns) - Retain original provisions, except permit parent and teacher members of school councils to serve consecutive terms and delete limit of two year terms; and add a support employee to the council.
HFA (2/P, H. Anderson) - Require a local school district superintendent to recommend to a school council no fewer than 3 principal candidates and honor all requests of the council to provide additional candidates.
