AN ACT relating to higher education finance.
Amend KRS 164.5161 to provide tuition to all members of the Kentucky National Guard, rather than to enlisted members only.
SB 58 - AMENDMENTS
SFA (1, D. Boswell) - Define "educational institution" to mean an in-state public or private postsecondary educational institution.
HCS - Provide that tuition paid shall be up to or equal to the in-state full or part-time tuition rate of the institution the member attends except that tuition paid in support of a member attending a private postsecondary educational institution shall be up to or equal to the average in-state full or part-time tuition rate of a public university or community college; tuition to private institutions shall not be paid until the appropriation of the General Assembly fully funds the tuition program.
HFA (1, K. Bratcher) - Retain original provisions, except add proprietary schools to definition of educational institutions.
