AN ACT relating to providing the public with information about sex offenders.
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 70 to require sheriffs to notify the public of sex offenders living within the county.
HB 10 - AMENDMENTS
HFA (1, J. Draud) - Permit sheriff to notify an area larger than a block or 1/4 mile of where sex offender lives; define "block" for notification purposes; require Department of Corrections to give advance notice of release of sex offender to sheriff.
HFA (2, R. Damron) - Limit sheriff's mandatory public notification of sex offenders in the community to offenders required to perform lifetime notification, permit notification on other sex offenders.
