     AN ACT relating to health insurance.
     Create a new section of KRS Chapter 18A to permit a person whose home is approved as a foster home by the Cabinet for Families and Children or by a licensed child-placing agency to purchase health insurance coverage provided to state employees; provide that a person shall remain eligible for coverage until his or her home is no longer an active foster home or is no longer an approved foster home; provide that a person shall retain current coverage until the end of the policy period if a foster home becomes inactive or closed during a policy period; direct the secretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet and the secretary of the Cabinet for Families and Children to establish a system to enroll foster parents in their county of residence; provide that foster parents are responsible for payment of total cost of coverage in a manner and at a time as required in administrative regulations, including any related administrative costs incurred by the state employees' insurance program for persons who are not included in the state payroll system.
