AN ACT relating to school safety.
Amend KRS 161.190 to define harassment, and to prohibit any person from harassing students, certified or classified school employees, interscholastic sports officials, school volunteers, school visitors, and any other persons on school property or at school-sponsored events; amend other sections of KRS Chapters 158 and 161 to conform.
HB 188 - AMENDMENTS
HFA (1, K. Stein) - Clarify that disruptive speech or conduct against a teacher or school administrator is subject to being guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
SCA (2, L. Casebier) - Amend KRS 161.190 to provide that harassment and unlawful speech or conduct toward a teacher or school administrator shall constitute a Class A misdemeanor.
SFA (1, D. Karem) - Amend KRS 161.190 to provide that harassment and unlawful speech or conduct toward a teacher or school administrator shall constitute a Class A misdemeanor.
SFA (3, L. Casebier) - Amend to change "guilty of" to "subject to" in accordance with standard language used in statutes.
