AN ACT relating to the waiver of sovereign immunity for motor vehicle liability claims to the extent of liability insurance coverage purchased.
Amend KRS 44.055 to provide that purchase of motor vehicle insurance by the State shall constitute a waiver of sovereign immunity for motor vehicle liability to the extent of the liability insurance coverage; provide that courts of the Commonwealth shall have exclusive jurisdiction for motor vehicle liability claims; amend KRS 44.072 and 44.073 to conform.
