AN ACT relating to school curriculum.
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 158 to permit schools or school councils to adopt a course of study that includes an elective course in history, civilization, comparative religion, literature, or another subject area that uses scriptural texts, including the Bible, and permits the posting of religious, historical, or literary documents appropriate to the course, including the Ten Commandments.
HB 26 - AMENDMENTS
HFA (1, T. Riner) - Delete reference to "comparative religion"; require focus on the significant influence of the Bible, the Ten Commandments, and faith in God on American institutions and laws as manifested in the proclamations, official documents, writings, and speeches of Colonial leaders, the Founding Fathers, and American presidents.
