AN ACT relating to fire protection district taxes.
Amend KRS 75.040 to allow fire protection districts or volunteer fire protection districts organized under KRS Chapter 75 to levy property taxes to help defray expenses for fire protection on property previously exempt from county taxation as an inducement for economic development use; apply these provisions to property assessed on or after January 1, 2001.
