AN ACT relating to environmental protection.
Amend various sections of KRS Chapters 77 and 224 to prohibit the use of vehicle emission control programs; make conforming changes; repeal KRS 224.20-710 to 224.20-760, relating to a state authorized comprehensive vehicle emission control program; repeal KRS 186.290, relating to compliance with a vehicle emission control program when registering a motor vehicle.
HB 291 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Delete original provisions; create the Vehicle Emissions Testing Task Force; set out responsibilities of task force; list membership appointments of thirty (30) member task force; require task force to report its findings and recommendations to the Interim Joint Committee on Local Government no later than September 1, 2002, with recommendations for legislation for the Regular Session of the General Assembly in 2003.
