AN ACT relating to local option elections.
Amend KRS 242.060 to delete provision requiring county to pay the costs of local option elections; place responsibility for payment on the citizen or group of citizens who initiate the petition; require that the costs be the actual costs; require the State Board of Elections to establish procedures by which payment is made; specify persons who are and are not liable for paying costs of the election.
HB 358 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original provisions; amend KRS 242.030 to provide that local option election shall be held on general election day; amend KRS 242.070 to provide that precinct election officers shall be those appointed under KRS 117.045; delete provisions for guards of ballot boxes; amend KRS 242.1292, 242.1297, 242.185, and 242.125 to conform; repeal KRS 242.090 and 242.150.
