AN ACT relating to consumer protection.
     Amend KRS 367.175 to make it an unlawful act for a retail seller to sell a tire to a consumer that was manufactured more than 365 days before the date of purchase, permit the seller to sell older tires if the seller gives ample notice to the buyer concerning the tire's age and general conditions, the warranty's expiration date, the expected lifetime of the tire under normal conditions, and any conditions that offset or negate the warranty, and extends the manufacturer's warranty so that the time set out in the warranty begins to run on the date of purchase, rather than the date of manufacture; make violations a Class D felony.
