AN ACT relating to crime and punishments.
     Amend KRS 533.015 to replace may with shall; amend KRS 533.252 to direct Commonwealth's Attorneys to include those alternative programs described in KRS 533.015 when explaining pretrial diversion to crime victims; create a new section of KRS Chapter 605 to be the same as KRS 533.015, as amended, and to allow the parent or guardian of the defendant to so petition; amend KRS 605.090, 610.110, 630.120, and 635.010 to include the alternative programs defined in the new section of KRS Chapter 605 where private entities as alternatives to incarceration are an available option; and add a new subsection to KRS 610.110 authorizing the court, upon petition of the child, or parent or guardian of the child, to place the child in a private educational institution where private funding is provided.
