AN ACT relating to breast-feeding.
Create new section of KRS Chapter 211 to permit mothers to breast-feed in public or private locations; permit businesses or agencies to use the designation "mother-friendly" for having a policy supporting breast-feeding; require state agencies administering maternal or child health services to provide breast-feeding information to participants; require the Department of Public Health to provide information and assistance on receiving a "baby-friendly" designation; permit the Department for Public Health to include a program of lactation support services as part of the Women, Infants, and Children Nutrition Program; require the Department of Public Health to coordinate the operation of the Women, Infants, and Children program with the Department for Medicaid Services in order to exchange information.
