HCR 2 (BR 278) - P. Bather
Create a task force to complete a study to identify strategies to maintain an adequate supply of nurses in the Commonwealth; and require a report to the Legislative Research Commission no later than November 1, 2001.
HCR 2 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original provisions; expand the responsibilities of the taskforce to include other health care professionals in addition to nurses; expand the membership of the taskforce to include additional organizations representing health care facilities, health care professionals, governmental agencies, and schools of nursing; create a seventeen (17) member steering committee from the membership of the taskforce; require the membership to represent all regions of the state; require the membership to be appointed by the Legislative Research Commission with consideration being given to individuals recommended by the Interim Joint Committee on Health and Welfare; require a report of legislative recommendations to the Legislative Research Commission no later than September 1, 2001 and a final report to the Legislative Research Commission no later than September 1, 2002.

Marzian) - Retain original provisions; replace the task force on healthcare workforce shortage with a nursing shortage task force with the responsibility of identifying strategies to maintain an adequate supply of nurses in the Commonwealth; decrease the membership of the task force; delete the seventeen (17) member steering committee of the task force; delete the requirement that all regions of the state be represented on the task force.
HFA (2, M. Marzian) - Retain original provisions except replace the task force on healthcare workforce shortage with a nursing shortage task force with the responsibility of identifying strategies to maintain an adequate supply of nurses in the Commonwealth; decrease the membership of the task force; delete the seventeen 17 member steering committee of the task force; and delete the requirement that all regions of the state be represented on the task force.
HFA (3, B. Heleringer) - Retain original provisions except expand the membership of the task force.
HFA (4, B. Heleringer) - Retain original provisions except expand the membership of the task force.
