HR 61 (BR 8) - J. Richards, G. Stumbo, J. Barrows, J. Callahan, L. Clark

     Adopt Rules of Procedure for the House of Representatives for the 2001 Regular Session of the General Assembly.

HR 61 - AMENDMENTS


     HFA (1, B. Crall) - Provide that an amendment shall be considered germane if it relates to the same topic by amending the same chapter of the Kentucky Revised Statutes as the bill to which it is proposed to be attached.
     HFA (2, B. Crall) - Provide that committee members shall be appointed from and by the majority and minority parties.
     HFA (3, J. Hoover) - Delete standing committees from provision limiting Rules Committee authority to refer a bill back on more than one occasion.
     HFA (4, J. Hoover) - Delete language creating certain requirements for floor amendments to a branch budget bill.
     HFA (5, J. Hoover) - Provide that vetoed bills and resolutions shall be referred to the House floor for an immediate vote as to whether to override the veto.
     HFA (6, J. Hoover) - Delete provision requiring that vetoed bills and resolutions be referred to the Rules Committee.
     HFA (7, B. Heleringer) - Delete all language relating to a floor amendment to a branch budget bill being out of order if it reduces the Budget Reserve Trust Fund.
     HFA (8, G. Stumbo) - Delete provision that a floor amendment to a branch budget bill must include a statement from the executive branch if the amendment reduces the Budget Reserve Trust Fund.
