AN ACT relating to Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship awards.
     Amend KRS 156.160 to permit the certification of nonpublic schools on criteria including the adoption of a uniform grading scale; amend KRS 164.7874 to define terms including "eligible high school student," "high school," and "numerical grade average"; amend KRS 164.7879 to establish amounts for scholarships based on a uniform numerical grading scale and require the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority to distribute awards based on the numerical grading scale beginning with the 2001-2002 academic year; amend KRS 164.7881 to establish qualifications for designation as a Senator Jeff Green Scholar; and amend KRS 164.7885 to require high schools to report the numerical grade average of eligible students.
