SB 147 (BR 1465) - E. Harris
AN ACT relating to crimes and punishments.
Amend KRS 186.570 and 532.356 to deny a person a driver's license or suspend a person's driver's license upon conviction of theft by unlawful taking involving the theft of gasoline from a retail establishment; limit the denial or suspension to a period of up to 3 months.
SB 147 - AMENDMENTS
SFA (1, E. Harris) - Add that a retail establishment may post a sign at the location where fuel is dispensed, informing the public of the sanctions for theft of gasoline.
HCS - Change the length of the denial or suspension from 3 months to 60 days; impose the denial or suspension not on the first conviction but on second and subsequent convictions.
