SB 162 (BR 1229) - J. Pendleton
AN ACT relating to alcoholic beverages.
Amend KRS 243.480 to provide the alternative of payment of $1,000 fine per day for retail licensees violating subsection (1) of KRS 244.080 in lieu of all or part of the days of any suspension period.
SB 162 - AMENDMENTS
SCS - Delete provisions allowing a retail liquor and beer by the package or drink licensee to pay a fine of $1,000 for each violation of KRS 244.080(1); eliminate discretion of board in deciding whether person may pay fine in lieu of suspension, except for fourth and subsequent violations; insert language creating a graduated scale of fines for package retail liquor licensees based on the frequency of the violations; permit the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to suspend or revoke the license of a package retail liquor licensee if the licensee commits four or more violations of selling to a minor within a two year period.
