AN ACT relating to the Kentucky Community and Technical College System.
Amend KRS 164.005 to delete language relating to nominations of members to the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) governing board by the UK board of trustees; amend KRS 164.321 to delete references to nominees to the KCTCS board of regents and delete language that is no longer needed; amend KRS 164.350 to delete language that is no longer needed since the implementation of KCTCS has occurred and to clarify duties of the board of regents; amend KRS 164.580 to delete language that is no longer needed and clarify language relating to degrees; amend KRS 164.600 to broaden the board of directors for community colleges to also include a board for a community and technical college; amend KRS 164.602 to conform; amend KRS 174A.575 to delete language that is no longer appropriate; repeal KRS 164.581, 164.5815, and 164.595.
HB 135 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original provisions, except delete the provision that would have given the board of regents the authority to set annual salary increases for all of the employees in KCTCS; repeal KRS 164.597; make technical correction.
HFA (1, J. Gooch) - Amend KRS 164.365 to require the KCTCS to establish a salary schedule for all faculty and staff of the system, based on years' experience and credentials of the respective staff; require annual update of salary schedule.
