AN ACT relating to manufactured housing.
Amend KRS 227.550 to exempt banks, trust companies, and lending institutions from the requirement for licensing of manufactured housing dealers for the purpose of disposition of repossessed manufactured housing.
HB 152 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original provisions and clarify that a bank, trust company, or lending institution is exempt with regard to disposition of its own repossessed manufactured housing; exempt a real estate agent who acts merely as a negotiator and does not acquire ownership or possession of three (3) or more manufactured homes in a twelve (12) month period.
SFA (1, E. Scorsone) - Amend KRS 227.600 to clarify that although banks and lending institutions do not need a license as a dealer to dispose of repossessed manufactured housing, banks and lending institutions must still comply with the requirements that repossessed manufactured housing be reinspected and certified and a Class B seal affixed prior to sale.
SFA (2, E. Scorsone) - Amend KRS 227.600 to clarify that although banks and lending institutions do not need a license as a dealer with regard to disposition of repossessed manufactured housing, banks and lending institutions must still comply with the requirement that repossessed manufactured housing be reinspected and certified and a Class B seal affixed prior to sale; amend KRS 227.570 to provide that a bank, trust company, or lending institution which has acquired and offers for sale a used manufactured home, mobile home, or recreational vehicle shall be subject to the same construction standards and requirements that apply to dealers.
