AN ACT relating to sales and use taxes.
Amend KRS 139.480 to exempt clothing, school supplies, and computers sold during the first week of August each year from the sales tax; define terms; allow Revenue Cabinet to issue educational bulletins; amend KRS 139.210 to allow retailers to absorb the sales tax on any other item sold during the first week of August each year; amend KRS 139.220 to allow retailers to advertise accordingly.
