HB 207 (BR 1383) - R. Crimm, J. Jenkins, R. Palumbo
AN ACT relating to the regulation of interior designers and architects.
Create new sections of KRS Chapter 323 to permit an interior designer who meets certain requirements to be certified as a Kentucky certified interior designer; define responsibilities of the State Board of Examiners and Registration of Architects for issuing a certificate as a Kentucky certified interior designer and administering the certification process; allow the board to promulgate administrative regulations to establish education, experience, and testing requirements to be certified as a Kentucky certified interior designer; amend KRS 323.150, 323.170, and 323.200 to increase board membership to include one certified interior designer; impose penalties for falsifying an application for certification or renewal and the improper use of the title "Kentucky certified interior designer" for those not certified; amend KRS 323.150, 323.170, and 323.200 to increase board membership to include one certified interior designer; make the changes in board membership EFFECTIVE July 15, 2003.
HB 207 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original provision except include "home builder" and "home designer" in the list of professions which shall not be prohibited or interfered with under this Act.
HFA (1, R. Crimm) - Include "home builder" and "home designer" to list of those professions which shall not be prohibited or interfered with under this Act.
HFA (2, J. Hoover) - Permit any person who is certified as a kitchen designer, bath designer, or master kitchen and bath designer and who is registered with its national society under the auspices of the National Kitchen and Bath Association to use a title indicating such certification.
HFA (3, R. Crimm) - Include home builders, home designers, certified kitchen designers, certified bath designers, or certified master kitchen and bath designers as persons not subject to the provisions of this Act.
HFA (4, R. Crimm) - Include home builders, home designers, certified kitchen designers, certified bath designers, or certified master kitchen and bath designers as persons not subject to the provisions of the Act.
SCA (1, B. Guthrie) - Include "retailers of consumer products or their employees" as persons not subject to provisions of this Act.
