HB 251 (BR 1009) - G. Lindsay

     AN ACT relating to election officers.
     Amend KRS 117.045 to provide that minors who are seventeen years old and who will become eighteen years old on or before the day of the regular election may serve as an election officer for the primary and general election in which he or she is qualified to vote.

HB 251 - AMENDMENTS


     HFA (1, G. Lindsay) - Retain original provisions except provide that no precinct shall have more than one person serving as an election officer who is a minor seventeen years of age.

     SFA (1, E. Tori) - Amend to create new section of KRS Chapter 158 to provide that students who serve as election officers shall be granted one day of excused absence for each election day served.
