AN ACT relating to the provision of thermal vision devices to fire departments.
Create new sections of KRS Chapter 227 to define the purposes of the thermal vision grant program; make the state fire marshal responsible for administration of the thermal vision grant program; define thermal vision device; create an advisory board to the state fire marshal and define the duties of the advisory committee for the thermal vision grant program; define the duties of the state fire marshal in the support of the thermal vision grant program; define local fire department eligibility, application, and reporting requirements for participation in the thermal vision grant program.
HB 293 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Create a new section of KRS 95A defining purposes of the thermal vision grant program; create a new section of KRS 95A making the Commission on Fire Protection Personnel Standards and Education responsible for the thermal vision grant program; create a new section of KRS 95A defining the commission's duties and responsibilities for the thermal vision grant program; create a new section of KRS 95A designating fire departments eligible for the thermal vision grant program, application procedures, and penalties.
SCS - Retain original provisions; clarify that the appropriations referred to in Section 1 relate specifically to the thermal vision grant program.
