AN ACT relating to school employees.
Amend KRS 160.380 to require superintendents to provide the chief state school officer with notice of upcoming vacancies as soon as the superintendent receives written notice, require vacancies to be posted at the local school board office and in each school building, and require vacancies to be posted for 30 days and to remain unfilled during this period.
HB 321 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original provisions and require superintendent to give notice of upcoming vacancies when they occur or as soon as he or she receives notice; require posting of position openings in all work sites; and permit the superintendent on his or her own initiative or on the request of the school council, or if none exists, the principal, to seek waiver to fill position in less than 30 days.
HFA (1, G. Graham) - Make technical correction.
SFA (1, V. McGaha) - Require employee vacancies to be posted for 15 days rather than 30 days.
