     AN ACT relating to school employees.
     Amend KRS 161.760 to eliminate specific dates for notification of reductions in teacher salaries or responsibilities in order to create uniform notice periods for school districts operating on year-round and traditional calendars.

     HCS - Change reference to first student attendance day as basis for counting notification dates.

     HFA (1, K. Upchurch) - Retain the original provisions of the bill and add and amend KRS 161.158 to provide that attorneys hired by the district board of education, to provide legal advice on a regular basis, may participate in the district's group health insurance plans, at the discretion of the district board of education.
