AN ACT relating to body armor.
Amend KRS 16.220, relating to provision of body armor grants, to include public university safety and security departments organized pursuant to KRS 164.950; amend KRS 45A.047, relating to disposition of firearms owned by a state agency, to include public university safety and security departments.
HB 338 - AMENDMENTS
HFA (1, K. Stein) - Provide that body armor may be used for service animals.
SCS - Prohibit a law enforcement agency from selling firearms in order to buy body armor for service animals; require that only specified law enforcement agencies may purchase body armor for service animals.
SFA (1, J. Westwood) - Add state probation and parole officers to officers eligible for body armor grants, money to be provided to Department of Corrections.
