AN ACT relating to continuing care retirement communities.
Amend KRS 216B.335 to authorize continuing care retirement communities to establish nursing home beds until the adjournment of the 2004 General Assembly; and amend KRS 216B.339 to require the Cabinet for Health Services to collect data regarding any change in the number of each type of bed in continuing care retirement communities between July 14, 2000 and October 31, 2003; and require the cabinet to submit a report to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the chair of the Senate Standing Committee on Health and Welfare, and the chair of the House Standing Committee on Health and Welfare addressing the impact of this Act on the Medicaid budget, consumer access, and providers of long-term care prior to the beginning of the 2004 General Assembly.
