     AN ACT relating to the Master Settlement Agreement.
     Amend KRS 248.654 to change the name of the rural development fund to the agricultural development fund, and to change the date of the master settlement agreement signing from November 22, 1998 to November 23, 1998; amend KRS 248.655 to change the name of the rural development board to the agricultural development board, and to conform; amend KRS 248.701 to conform; amend KRS 248.725 to change the name of the rural development advisory councils to the agricultural development councils; amend KRS 141.010 and KRS 200.703 to conform; make technical corrections.

HB 347 - AMENDMENTS


     SFA (1, V. McGaha) - Retain the original provisions; amend KRS 248.723, relating to the Tobacco Settlement Agreement Fund Oversight Committee, to direct that, of the twelve members, six Senators be appointed by the President and six Representatives be appointed by the Speaker rather than all twelve members appointed by the Legislative Research Commission; require inclusion of at least two minority party members from each chamber; direct the President and Speaker each to designate one of their appointees to serve as co-chair; direct vacancies to be filled by the President and Speaker as in the original appointments.
