AN ACT relating to write-in voting.
Amend KRS 117.265 to provide that write-in candidates shall file for office not later than the second Tuesday in August, and remove exception for 5th and 6th class city candidates.
HB 36 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain provisions of bill, except retain current law that filing of declaration of intent for write-in candidates shall occur 10 days prior to the regular or special election; amend KRS 118.255 and 64.012 to remove $20 filing fee for write-in candidacy for fifth and sixth class cities.
