AN ACT relating to cosmetologists.
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 317A to require licensed cosmetologists and nail technicians to practice in salons licensed by the cosmetologists board; exempt licensees exclusively practicing in a licensed barber shop; permit licensees to offer services to persons residing in long-term-care facilities, in hospice programs, defined as homeless individuals, deceased and in the care of a funeral establishment, residing in assisted-living communities, or confined to their homes by a physical inability to travel; give the board the authority to promulgate administrative regulations to carry out these provisions.
HB 364 - AMENDMENTS
HCA (1, C. Belcher) - Change language relating to "manicurist" and "manicuring" to "nail technician" and "nail technologist" to conform to KRS Chapter 317A.
HFA (1, C. Belcher) - Amend to prohibit licensed cosmetologists and nail technicians providing services to aged, sick, disabled or homeless persons in long-term-care facilities, hospice programs, temporary living accommodations, funeral homes, assisted-living facilities, or private residences from performing any procedures or treatments involving the feet.
