HB 400/FN (BR 1644) - R. Wilkey, R. Thomas
AN ACT relating to honey.
Create a new section of KRS 217.005 to 217.215 to exempt persons who sell less than 500 gallons of honey in a year from being required to process the honey in a certified food processing establishment, or from being required to obtain a permit.
HB 400 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Change to less than 150 rather than 500 the number of gallons per year of honey that a person can sell without being required to process the honey in a certified processing establishment; apply this to honey sold off the farm rather than on or off the farm.
SFA (1, J. Denton) - Exclude honey sold to a retail establishment from the exemptions provided in the bill.
SFA (2, J. Denton) - Exclude honey sold to a retail establishment from the exemptions provided in the bill, except for honey sold at farmer's markets, roadside stands, and similar facilities.
