AN ACT relating to resignations by school personnel.
     Amend KRS 161.780 to reduce the time a teacher may terminate his or her contract, without having permission from the superintendent, from 30 days to 14 days prior to the first student attendance day or during the school term; delete the reference to terminating prior to the beginning of the school term; delete the provisions governing when a teacher or superintendent may terminate his or her contract; provide that if a teacher voluntarily resigns any time of year, rather than just during the school year, the resignation must be in writing, presented to the superintendent two weeks prior to separation from employment, and it shall become binding on the date the resignation is accepted by the superintendent.
