     AN ACT relating to waste tires.
     Amend KRS 224.50-868 and KRS 224.50-872 to provide for the extension of the waste tire fee until July 31, 2006 and to provide for a waste tire amnesty program.

HB 422 - AMENDMENTS


     HCA (1, D. Pasley) - Inserts language that provides that a waste tire amnesty program is one which permits waste tires to be turned in without fees, charges, or penalties, and deletes language that defines the program as one which provides an opportunity for individuals, organizations, and businesses to turn in tires without penalties, charges, or fees.

     SFA (1, W. Blevins) - Require fifteen cents of every dollar deposited into the waste tire trust fund to be used for matching grants for rubber surfacing of Kentucky playgrounds with waste tire material.
