AN ACT relating to teacher transfers.
Amend KRS 157.395 to prohibit a local board of education from denying a teacher with National Board Certification the required salary supplement by transferring the teacher out of the teacher's area of certification.
HB 443 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Delete the new language in the original bill relating to transfers and add language to state that as long as a national board-certified teacher is employed as a classroom teacher or teacher mentor the teacher will continue to get a salary supplement.
