AN ACT relating to concealed deadly weapon licenses.
Amend KRS 237.110 relating to concealed deadly weapon licenses to clarify that an out-of-state license to carry a concealed deadly weapon is valid in Kentucky until its expiration, even if the person becomes a Kentucky resident. Permit a person who becomes a Kentucky resident who has an out-of-state concealed deadly weapon license to obtain a Kentucky concealed deadly weapon license without additional training or range firing if the applicant was required to do that in the previous state of residence.
HB 560 - AMENDMENTS
HFA (1, E. Ballard) - Retain original provisions; add provision requiring separate license application; require state police to provide applicant with copy of Kentucky law on concealed weapons and use of force; require applicant to certify that he or she understands and will abide by the law.
