AN ACT relating to teachers.
     Amend KRS 158.070 to prohibit lengthening the school day or year without a commensurate increase in the salary schedule; prohibit the scheduling of mandatory professional development days that are on weekends or are not contiguous to the instructional calendar unless agreed to by the school councils or included in the schools' professional development plans; require a district to provide additional compensation to a teacher mandated to participate in a professional development activity if it is beyond the required four days and outside the 185 day school calendar.
