AN ACT relating to Commonwealth's attorneys and declaring an emergency.
Move one Commonwealth's attorney's representation from the Twenty-ninth Judicial Circuit to the Fortieth Judicial Circuit; move another Commonwealth's attorney's representation from the Fortieth Judicial Circuit to the Fifty-seventh Judicial Circuit; allow a vacancy to exist in the office of Commonwealth's attorney for the Twenty-ninth Judicial Circuit until such vacancy is filled by gubernatorial appointment or election, whichever occurs first; base provisions of bill on a 2001 amendment to KRS 23A.020 which changed judicial circuits and created a new judicial circuit; EMERGENCY.
