AN ACT relating to Kentucky educational excellence scholarship awards.
     Amend KRS 164.7874 to include the definition of the Commonwealth Accountability Testing System in the Kentucky educational excellence scholarship program; amend KRS 164.7879 to provide a one-time supplemental award to students who receive a designation of "proficient" or "distinguished" on the twelfth grade on-demand writing component of the Commonwealth Accountability Testing System; provide a $100 award for "proficient" and a $200 award for "distinguished" ranking; amend KRS 164.7885 to require the Department of Education to transmit to the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority, by January 1 of each year, a list or all students who graduated the prior year with a ranking of "proficient" or "distinguished" for the on-demand writing component of the Commonwealth Accountability Testing System; require the authority to notify each eligible student of his or her one-time supplemental award; amend KRS 164.7881 to conform.
