AN ACT relating to group health insurance.
Create new sections of Subtitles 17A, 18, and 38 of KRS Chapter 304 to require group health insurance companies and health maintenance organizations to provide the policyholder, within 21 days after a written request, information the policyholder needs for bids; provide that the information shall include information for the previous three (3) years or the period of coverage, whichever is shorter; provide that the information shall include claims experience, premiums paid, number of insureds or enrollees on a monthly basis, and dependent status; provide that no information must be disclosed which is required by law to be confidential.
HB 721 - AMENDMENTS
HCA (1, S. Riggs) - Clarify that the insurer does not have to disclose any nonpublic personal health information without the written consent of the individual who is the subject of the information as required by administrative regulation; make technical changes.
