AN ACT relating to the human service transportation delivery program.
Amend KRS 281.870 to delete the Cabinet for Families and Children from membership on the Coordinated Transportation Advisory Committee; amend KRS 281.872 to provide that a broker that denies a person transportation services without being notified by the Transportation Cabinet that the person is ineligible to be transported, shall be fined $1,000 per trip and shall be subject to having his or her contract revoked under KRS Chapter 45A; delete references to the Cabinet for Families and Children; amend penalty for brokers and subcontractors retaliating against persons filing complaints to provide that the broker's contract will be revoked under KRS Chapter 45A and the subcontractor's contract will be revoked by the broker upon consultation with, and approval by, the Transportation Cabinet; amend KRS 281.879 to provide that the cabinet may withhold the amount of any fine imposed under the human service transportation delivery program from the cabinet's payment to a broker; amend KRS 281.876 to conform.
