AN ACT relating to children's psychiatric residential treatment facilities.
Amend KRS 216B.450 to permit children's psychiatric residential treatment facilities to have nine beds rather than eight; amend KRS 216B.455 to permit multiple freestanding facilities on the same grounds and set a maximum number of beds statewide at 324 to be distributed among four regions of the state, and require Cabinet for Health Services and Cabinet for Family and Children to investigate and report on psychiatric residential treatment services for specialized populations; amend KRS 216B.459 to conform.
HB 744 - AMENDMENTS
HCS - Retain original provisions except specify that more than one psychiatric residential treatment facility may be on the same grounds that are not located in or on the grounds of a psychiatric hospital, and specify that beds shall be distributed among four established mental hospital districts.
