AN ACT relating to criminal defendants found incompetent to stand trial.
     Amend KRS 504.060 to include "community board," "state hospital," and "violent crime" in definitions and to change "foreseeable future" from 360 days to 60 days; amend KRS 504.100 and 504.110 to provide the court a treatment plan option when a defendant is found incompetent to stand trial and to provide that the charges shall be dismissed without prejudice before the court orders a treatment plan or a petition for involuntary commitment; create new sections of KRS Chapter 504 to describe the treatment plan and how it is to be implemented; amend KRS 210.410 to include criminal defendants found incompetent to stand trial among those whom the community board must serve; p provide that the community boards shall have to provide that service only upon an appropriation by the 2002 General Assembly for those services.
