AN ACT relating to the establishment of nursing home beds.
     Amend KRS 216B.020 to exempt nursing home beds from the certificate of need process upon payment of an initial fee of five thousand dollars ($5,000) per bed; prohibit Medicaid certification for nursing home beds exempted from certificate of need; and amend KRS 216B.040 to exclude nursing home beds for which a certificate of need is not required from being considered in the long-term care bed criteria in the state health plan.
