AN ACT relating to boiler and pressure vessel safety.
Amend KRS 236.060 to delete language that excludes the following types of boilers from the provisions of KRS 236.005 to 236.150: steam or vapor boilers used for heating purposes that carry a pressure of not more than 15 pounds per square inch gauge that are located in private residences or in apartment houses of less than 6 families and hot water heating boilers carrying a pressure of not more than 30 pounds per square inch gauge which are located in private residences or in apartment houses of less than 6 families or hot water supply boilers located in private residences or in apartment houses of less than 6 families; amend KRS 236.210 to delete language excluding contractor installers of boilers operating at more than 500 pounds per square inch gauge or at more than 467 degrees Fahrenheit from engaging in the business of installing, erecting, or repairing boilers without a license.
